In the June 2017 issue of Pro Landscaper, the feature Wild at Heart documents the transformation of a compact city garden in Salford into the award-winning Eco Garden.
The project’s design embraced the client’s vision for a low-maintenance, outward-looking space with a European-inspired aesthetic.
Balancing this with a strong architectural context, the garden was meticulously crafted to harmonise nature and human activity within the constraints of a small urban plot. The result was a picture-perfect haven where vibrant biodiversity thrived, proving that even limited spaces could support meaningful coexistence between people and wildlife.
Widely recognised for its excellence, this garden earned the prestigious Residential Landscaping Design Award at the 2016 Northern Design Awards.
