In the July 2016 issue of Pro Landscaper, I shared my creative journey in the feature Just Add Water, detailing the transformation of a Cheshire country retreat near the Mow Cop hills.
With the property midway through an extension, the clients aimed to reimagine their outdoor spaces with a focus on privacy, functionality and striking aesthetics. Tasked with creating a rear garden that not only housed a large aquarium and incorporated a hot tub, but also safeguarded their dog, Teddy, I designed a space that complemented the cottage’s idyllic setting.
As the project evolved, the scope expanded to include the front garden, resulting in a harmonious design that unified both areas and celebrated the charm of the countryside whilst bringing the clients’ vision to life.
In the article, I highlight how I incorporated a striking outdoor aquarium and a bespoke oak-enclosed hot tub, creating a serene yet awe-inspiring haven that balances rustic charm with modern sophistication.
