We’re excited to announce that our garden designer David Keegan has won a Silver Award at the prestigious 2018 International Landscape Design Awards (APLD) for his work on the Eco Garden in Worsley, Salford.
Small Garden, Big Impact
This garden design project started life with a space barely bigger than a postage stamp, but David’s design transformed it into a beautiful, sustainable retreat. The design focused on creating a low-maintenance garden that stepped outside traditional design boundaries, incorporating a European aesthetic while maintaining a strong architectural context.
The judges hailed the project as “a stellar illustration of well-conceived design and sustainable, eco-friendly principles with good aesthetics and cohesion,” recognising David’s ability to blend form and function seamlessly.
It's a Natural Flow
One of the central goals of the design was to forge a deeper connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces—without relying on the usual “extend the inside out” approach. Instead, the space flows into the interior in a way that feels both natural and complementary, creating a garden that immerses you in nature, even from within the home.
