MARPLE BRIDGE

As part of the redesign, we replaced a planting bed along the house wall with a porcelain pathway and new side garden access, reworking the steps and approach for better proportion and flow.

To minimise lawn and maximise function, we introduced more planting beds, ornamental trees and a children’s play area. The roadside entrance was also improved by setting the gates back and widening the drive for better visibility from the main road. Decorative pots with Acers and dwarf pines completed the refreshed front garden.

In the rear garden, we removed an Ash tree due to dieback exposed the space, and replaced it with pleached evergreens for privacy.

A new dining terrace and pergola were positioned for optimal aspect, centred around a bespoke water feature that can be seen from the house. Finally, a second shady terrace off the sunroom adds a quiet retreat.
