This was an exciting project that involved completely redesigning both the front and rear gardens. Whilst the interior of the client’s house had been fully modernised, the gardens were stuck in a 1980s time warp. The clients wanted outdoor spaces that reflected the contemporary style of their home.

At the first visit, the garage was located at the rear of the property, with parked cars dominating the back garden, leaving the large front garden underused. The front lawn sloped steeply from the house to the boundary, dropping by at least one metre and in very poor condition. Additionally, the front entrance was poorly positioned, with the path awkwardly placed along the side wall, making it neither welcoming nor prominent.

To address this, the front garden was regraded and converted into parking, whilst the rear garden underwent a contemporary transformation. The garage was rendered and bi-fold doors were installed, leading onto a decked area that seamlessly connected the house to the redesigned garden and den.
