This project in Oldham transformed a neglected area at the rear of a house into a magical forest-style garden.

 

Nestled in semi-shade and overlooked from the kitchen, the client's brief was to create a picturesque view from the window—a scene that feels like a secret corner of a grand forest.

To achieve this, we designed the space to give the illusion of being much larger than it actually is, blending naturalistic planting with an atmosphere of mystery and charm.

​

The focal point is a stone table and cube seats, which we discovered in a reclamation yard, buried beneath old tools and machinery.​ Their potential to bring the enchanted vision to life was too great to pass on. So, although they were not originally for sale, we secured these unique pieces with the client's approval and added the perfect finishing touch to this woodland-inspired retreat.​
