This was one of the most exciting landscape design projects we've ever taken on. An aquarium garden set in the open countryside of Sandbach, within the rolling pastoral fields of East Cheshire.

 

The client’s brief centred on the inclusion of an outdoor aquarium—a feature I believe may be a first in the UK, if not Western Europe, for a domestic garden.

 

Whilst there’s much more to this project, the undeniable wow factor is the aquarium itself. As one of the clients humorously put it, if they ever sell the property, they’ll be selling an aquarium with a free house attached.

 

Beyond the garden hedge, fields of grazing cows complete the picturesque scene. How much more “moo” can a garden be?
