The Brief
For this Marple Bridge project, our clients wanted to completely reimagine a tired, dated garden and transform it into a fresh, contemporary outdoor space. The goal was to maximise every area, creating a garden that was not only visually striking but also highly functional—somewhere they could enjoy all year round.
The Design
Our design approach focused on bringing clarity, structure and modern style to the space. We introduced lush new lawns to create open, green areas ideal for relaxation and play, instantly refreshing the garden’s overall look and feel.
A standout feature of the design is the bespoke garden room with a sedum roof—an eco-friendly, stylish addition that blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings. This versatile space offers a peaceful retreat for work, hobbies or quiet moments away from the home.
To elevate the outdoor living, we designed a dining area, complete with a fully equipped kitchen and an automated pergola for maximum comfort and flexibility. Fitted with inset LED strip lighting and infrared heaters, the pergola ensures the space can be enjoyed comfortably, day or night, in any season.
Together, these elements create a cohesive, modern environment tailored for effortless outdoor living.
The Garden
The result is a garden transformed—modern, functional, and ready to be shared with family and friends. It's a vibrant, inviting space that perfectly balances contemporary aesthetics with everyday practicality.
From the soft landscaping and structural planting to the dedicated zones for cooking, dining and relaxing, every detail has been crafted to enhance how the clients live and enjoy their time outdoors throughout the year.
